Terapia ocupacional

What is Occupational therapy?

Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants help people participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (ADL – Activities of Daily Living). Common occupational therapy interventions include helping those with disabilities to participate fully in their occupations, schools, and social situations, as well as helping people recover from injuries to regain skills, and providing support for adults undergoing physical and cognitive changes. A typical intervention plan would include an evaluation completed by a licensed Occupational Therapist as well as a customized intervention plan which will help reach the goals of the individual. Re-assessments of gains and functional status will continue to be monitored until the individual reaches their goals or make significant improvements towards those goals.
